One would hope so, but alas it's not the case. Some apps still use up
resources while in the app tray. I can't speak for battery usage, but
they do interfere with other apps. I use ForScore as a music reading
app, and I have many musical pdf files loaded into it. If I exit out of
that app by hitting the home button, quite often when I start up
BlueFire Reader (in which I also have a lot of files) BlueFire will
start up, show me the first page of what I'm reading and then abruptly
quit. Quite often, but not always, truly shutting down all the apps in
the app tray allows BlueFire to work just fine. Occasionally, though,
I have to do the full power down while holding the Home button and
rebooting in order to truly clear the memory for BlueFire to work properly.
