A WARNING: We just moved my wife to a new computers (Windows to Windows). About 150 of her songs will not run because they are copy protected and iTunes will not accept them without the original CDs.
What I believe is happening is that if you bring them in from the original CDs, they can be loaded and run in iTunes. But just a copy via thumb drive from another computer will not be adequate for the copy protection.
So bottom line seems to be that you need to CDs if you ever change computers. Maybe someone else can comment on this
