pack the cds up in a watertight container and store safely for backup; and dont forget to back up the digital pile you just made. (paranoid marvin over here)

This is presently important to me because I've severely right-sized my life by moving from a four-bedroom house to a city condo. To attain the subject condition, I copied the CDs to my iMac, synced the music I want to my iPad, and use the iPod app with AirPlay to send the music to an AppleTV. The digital optical output of the AppleTV goes to a Monoprice digital optical to analogue electrical converter into my stereo amplifier thus to speakers. Viola!
