I followed this and it went pretty well.  The only thing is that I lost the organization aspect of the apps on my iPad, so I did have to re-sort them into folders.  Otherwise, all data is intact, and now my iPad backs up and syncs fine with the new Mac.

I had to get a new computer.  I have an iPad and an IPod.  How can Iget the files off the iPad onto the new computer?  I know this came up in the past.  If I sync to the new computer it will wipe out my iPad files won't it?
