Here is what I did to sort. I hope my terminology is correct. I
created a new table to avoid messing up any of my working tables.
1. Create a new table
2. You get a blank table with nothing in it and a bar across the top
and left side that I use to add columns or rows
3. Populate a column with numbers (double tap a cell to bring up the
number keypad)
4. Tap the bar across the top above the column to sort. This selects
the entire column.
5. Tap the highlighted portion of the bar above the column to sort. A
menu should come up that says "cut copy paste delete insert.. sort...
fit"
7. Tap sort and select ascending or descending. Be aware this seems to
sort all columns according to the values in the selected column.
As far as I have used this, you can only sort entire single columns
and cannot sort rows. This seems pretty limited compared to the
regular Numbers but I guess we need to be careful that we don't think
that an iPad is a fully powered Mac.
