Having had my iPad for a little over a month I can attest that the iPad does a nice job but it can not do everything I need to do. Switching apps while typing a chat room message looses the message, swapping from Netflix restarts the movie. Little things like that show its limitations but it is a simple device and it works well because it is simple and I have it running day and night without crashing and I love it.
A friend got one for his wife for valentines day and she won't let go of it. I setup his wifi for it just before she got home the week before valentines day. Almost blew the surprise.

Having only used windows thrice or so, each time has been a total frustration. its not a macintosh. i started with DOS and BASIC and went to mac after commodore, so i dont have windows experience and if you don't windows is hard!! I'd imagine its the same the other way around. i consider myself fortunate.

In terms of human interface, there are not as many differences between Apple & Micro$oft as folks may imagine. Under the hood, however, there are many.
