I don't know how a senior could learn how to use iOS without getting frustrated now that there's so much more to it.

"Senior" has nothing to do with it.

There is a technical term for the point in life at which you have stopped being able to learn new things.
It is called "dead".

"Senior" has a lot to do with it.  The aging brain is not a fiction.

At 72 I have no difficulty learning new taps and swipes.
How old is "senior", David?
