Re: [iPad] OR: Apple TV

One if my Apple TV units is dying. I want to replace it with an Apple TV with Siri but don't need 4K

My thought is: do you want a new Apple TV, or would you be served by using your current Apple TV as a mere wireless receiver (AirPlay) for your iPad (or any Siri device)?

There may be a catch: that television stations may block (the visible part of) their content from being passed on in such a way, or even using a Lightning to HDMI cable. That happened to me.
But I live in Europe, and our situations may be oceans apart.

I love my Apple TV. I love Siri. My Apple TV doesn't have Siri.. The first siri Apple TV is about a hundred on Apple. I don't have a hundred up front but I want one. On credit I can get one for 220. My credit is crappy. It would build my credit but cost twice as much.

Thoughts?
