You might try re-calibrating the battery as suggested by MacWorld:
Apple recommends that you periodically drain your iPhone or iPad's battery completely and then charge it until it's completely full. This process, called calibration, helps your device estimate its remaining battery life more accurately. Calibrating your battery will ensure that you know when to charge your battery, but it doesn't make your battery last longer.

Hello all: Have an iPad Air 2, for a few yrs, in constant use but on the Apple charger 95% of the time.
Yet the battery now never shows more than 87..90%.
Is that normal battery capacity erosion? Anyone else seen this?
THANKS
Jon
