Bluetooth has a signal range of 30 feet (outdoors). So placing your BT in to the Discovery mode can use any Bluetooth IDs detected to reduce your location radius to around 90 sqft, especially when you factor in BLE Beacons.

Using both signals one can set your location more accurate.
