You might try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings first. After that completes, go to Settings>WiFi and put in your network password and make sure it shows you as connected. Then try again.

I did just that with the betas weeks ago. iPad first, then — seeing excellent stability — did the iPhone as well.
Haven't had any reason to look back in envy.

My main device is my Macbook Pro. Every time my devices are connected to it, their (new) photos are backed up to it — and that is every day. And the MBPro has dual Time Machine backups and dual clone backups.
