Yes, they are a member, and clearly they do use the standards set by the alliance, but not all. Whether they deviate from some standards or set their own tolerances I do not know, I will try to find out. tails. This causes wifi issues for some. specfically with non Apple routers. Yosemote seems to have affected Apple only users, as my lengthy connect time for wifi is unchanged despite me using an AEBS for the last month. Wifi is bad enough, without other issues.

I know a network engineer, not well. Articles he has written on networks, wireless, amazing and intersting stuff. While he feels the AEBS is a great device, 9/10 of his business phone/tablet issues he deals with in corporate environments are Apple wifi. His advice is to throw it away and get a real phone (network wise) or use an Airport device for routing. They work fine, a number of stbadrad, compliant routers dont play well with Apple
