Re: [iPad] Apple to wind back the clock to '09 with focus on quality, not features, in next OS X | Computerworld

Apple users ought to hold the company's feet to the fire.  If Apple want a good image, they need to earn it.  Consumers will eventually punish a company that just coasts and that abuses its customers in lots of little ways.

Overall, so far, I think, Apple's deserved its image of high-quality design and build and superior software, but lately it's been coasting on innovation.  Sooner or later, the critics will start feeling emboldened to speak out, and the customers will follow the critics out the door.  And, in the meantime, good employees will begin to leave or simply not hire on.  When the problem finally becomes glaringly obvious, it's probably too late.

Inertia works continually to drag down everything good.  Good is not natural.  Staying at the top requires lots of very hard work.  Ask IBM, Sun, Ford, Sony.

Are you ever satisfied with anything that Apple does?

Read a lot on forums about this issue, users wanting no new features, just fixes.

Do new features cause bugs and issues? Or is it not sufficient coding and/or testing?

Wifi issues are a staple diet at Apple, was wifi a new recent feature?

They used to charge $100 for each new OS release, thats fair, then they released SL which was for fixes, and still charged users for an OS that was to fix issues?

A little bizarre, IMHO
