Re: [iPad] Report: Apple's Showing Off Its New iPads on October 16th

iPad Pro so they call it makes sense. I've been on a few forums where this was discussed. Some want a bigger iPad as that will be better for business, some want/expect/hope it will be a dual OSX and iOS, some want OSX on it. Some see it as targeting the  Surface Pro 3

I doubt many home users would buy a 12" iPad due to lesser portability, higher weight, and that the 9.7 iPad is the sweet spot. And prefer to use a MBA than a similar sized iPad. But for business, a bigger iPad, with stylus support, with a premium BT keyboard option, maybe even mouse support would be a good option for business. This ties in VERY nicely with Handoff.

Report: Apple's Showing Off Its New iPads on October 16th
Re/code says Apple will show the world its newest iPad updates on October 16th. Rumor has it the new iMac and OS X Yosemite will also make appearances.
Apple will use the event to reveal two new iPads—the sixth-generation full-sizer and the third-generation iPad Mini. Reports indicate that Apple may jumbo-size the iPad from its current 9.7-inch size all the way up to 12.9 inches, to compete with bigger tablets from Samsung and keep with the make-everything-bigger mentality of the iPhone 6.
The event will also mark the public release of OS X Yosemite, and could show off some updates to the venerable iMac lineup.
