Nice post
Not sure I agree with camera res, we get great photos and videos. Photo features are also pushing ahead.
Not sure I agree with specs. Apple runs an SoC that is 100% tailor made for its iOS, whereras Android phones are generic, many differing pieces of hardware for the single OS to optimise. I hear users talking of lag in the S5. I'd like to hear how the battery compares to a Note and a 6 Plus, if the mA were grossed up to be equal. However, I also hear of the 6 Plus sometimes having lag issues.

Subject: Re: [iPad] I said IOS needed to borrow Android features and make Phablets
The "so what" is I predicted Phablets would be HUGE sellers and many bashed the size and bashed NFC. I want to indicate pre-orders for Phablets are the highest pre-orders ever for iDevice and journalists are finally giving great writeups of iPhones vs. Android since screen sizes are finally close something they weren't doing before. They were raving about how big the Android screens were, and how behind Apple were in screens (and to a lesser extent camera resolution).
The "so what" is I have a good track record in web and computer field of predicting what the trends and successful products will be. So those who literally on this list said "widgets and configurable keyboards and ___ Android features well nobody needs them" - according to reviews of iOS 6,7 and 8 those are highly praised features once they arrived.
Next they will probably focus on camera resolution (and lense attachment ease) on 7 and future releases. The 40+ MegaPixel Lumina set new standards for picture detail that most people will love once they see it. 6 MP is just tip of iceberg and what Lumina did Android and iOS hardware will copy soon is my prediction. Android tends to be ahead of Apple when embracing higher spec hardware - Apple tends to get more usability and speed out of even lower hardware. To reverse the growing Android market share which does hurt them in less affluent countries, and has hurt them in press and perception in US - these DO MATTER in long term, Apple needs to reverse the perception they are behind on hardware innovation - particularly in camera resolution, and now pixel count per square inch screens which Android is leading on.

and I said Apple would. Many said I was full of it and Apple never would because they had better ideas.I agree their implementation of these things iOS 6/7/8 are superb but I 'told you so' to those who said nobody needs many of those Android features.Phablets are a necessary things for many with bad eyes and Android has some great things Apple swiped and did even better. But I remember I took a lot of heat that I was a heretic and Android lover and it was not likely to happen. If I may be so rude as to ask: So What?
