All I can say is that when I send selected listings via MRIS, our MLS provider here, clicking on the link gets you nowhere. I have complained to MRIS first since I think they should fix the thing to work on all common browsers. Safari is certainly one of the most popular ones since it is locked into iPhones as default. I don't have an actually Apple computer so I don't know if it works there. I will check with a friend of mine who does have one.
I know I am probably pissing people off. I don't intend to do that. I have an iPad which I think is the best tablet around. I do get stuck from time to time in similar situations where I click a link in an email and it does not show up in Safari.
I also have an Android phone where I don't see that problem.
This is my livelihood. I don't make a dime unless I actually close deals. It all starts with sending potential clients listings that fit their needs.

How about an Android phone for your real estate business? I don't know how Chrome can see websites that Safari can't since Apple does not allow flash on their iOS devices. I don't see it as arrogant. I see it as trying to keep viruses, Trojans and the like from invading our iPhones.
There are other companies that make phones, so everyone has a choice.
\\ /\( ) Alice.( ). lwr32@mac.comIMHO Safari is worthless. It is so locked down that many sites don't show up at all. Also, another problem with Apple mobile devices is that without jail-breaking the device you cannot change the default browser to something like Chrome. It kills me as a real estate agent as when I send listings to potential clients, they can't see those listings unless they go through ridiculous copying of the ling and pasting in a sane browser to view them. Most people are not that savvy that they can do that. I have no idea how many clients never get to see the listings I am trying to send to them to evaluate.
Apple is very arrogant and they want to control everything. They could have it all if they would compromise a bit and let people have some flexibility. Personally I think the Apple product line can't be beat for quality, but the fact that so much cannot be adjusted, it makes it unusable in many cases.
Good luck to all of us if this is the future of computing.

All browsers use the same engine as safari on iPads.
~Kris M.\\ "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." ~Helen Keller //For me Safari is really bad, links don't work gave the time. My friend told me about Mercury. There is a free copy and a pro copy in the App Store. Based on my friends recommendation I bought the pro copy for 99¢. It much better.Terry
