pete, I use Companionlink http://www.companionlink.com/ to sync my outlook 2007 calendar to my iPhone 5 via google. it allegedly will also sync notes. easy to setup and very reliable.

I don't know, someone that uses iCloud on a PC would need to help you with that. I quit using my PC when I bought my iPad.
