My iPad Air running iOS7 still has a menu choice for Genius Mixes & tapping the create button when viewing songs gives me the ability to create a Genius playlist based on an individual song.

My iPad 4 runs iOS 7, and there is no "genius" choice.
Perhaps it is no longer supported at the server end.
