Re: [iPad] Replacement iPad Types

You are right. Much cooler. I hadn't paid much attention. The new screen us fabulous. A much better white than before I think. Easier on the eyes.

I like mine a lot too.  It's the same as yours except that mine is WiFi only.  Do you notice that the Air runs much cooler than previous models?

I just got my new iPad Air. I love it. Weighs about the same as my iPad Mini and the sound is MUCH improved. I just restored my iPad3 which is what Apple is calling the "new" iPad to factory Condition. I offered it to a friend for $200. I think they are going for about $300. on ebay.

The iPad Air I got is the 128 GB one nice to finally get one that has some space. Wi-Fi and cellular. but i guess they all come that way now don't they?

Had an original iPad but when the 3rd Gen came out bought one. Upgraded to 64GB and to cellular data model, but the best part of the upgrade was the the screen resolution. Beautiful. I would recommend at least a 3rd Gen and then depending on you need for speed, space, etc. would consider 4 or Air. Difference in price a factor as sometimes only $100-150 can give you a big step up.
