> Apple needs to do a big all-in-one tablet like this. This one seems to have some quality problems - noisy, touch-screen insensitivity - and design problems - poorly designed power switch, paucity of ports, screen glare, no graphic processor. Apparently not quite ready for prime time.
But "Apple needs to do one like this..."
HAH!
The reason Dell thinks it can sell some of these is the price point.
How can they sell them so cheap?
Because they ARE cheap.
4 times the size of an iPad, 5 times the weight, but lower screen resolution.
Cheap materials and cheap construction as you described.
> But it's a great design idea.
And if Apple was to build it, it would do it right.
And the final product would cost $3000, and damn few people would buy it.
So if you really want one, you had better run out and get the Dell, while they still make 'em.
