I do much of our own service and if the HD takes early retirement I can replace it, add components, etc. something goes ka-flooey on an all-in-one and you may be screwed…or at the mercy of the service shop. to each their own.
Apple sells about 1 in 3 of all All-in-One computers.
They would probably disagree with your opinion.
