Because iPads are better built with better hardware specs than most
netbooks.
Netbooks were built to be cheap, easy-to-carry access points for surfing
the web, sort of like portable encyclopedias. Turn it on, read your
e-mails, get the weather, research something, turn it off.
They were not built to be media-streaming-at-poolside devices.
