I've been running a Mac since the 90s with no anti viral software and no problems at all. I've even downloaded a few viruses on purpose! They were windows viruses and. Couldn't open them. In fact I've been in broadband since 99 and I don't turn my mac off. So I've had constant Internet broadband connection for about 14-15 years and no anti virus software and no infections.
How do I know I have none? Simple. None exists.
