Why would one even turn on the TV when you have company? Just because there is a TV in that room does not mean it has to be on!
Turned on, muted, with the nes-alert banner running along the bottom, when waiting for Sandy to hit, or other high-risk weather.
Single TV -- 46" flat screen in living room. No possibility of cable or FiOS; rotten over-the-air reception; on DISH Network.
