Since I am not trying to get the most money this is fine. I agree with all the listed issues - the worst is actually the 30 pin connector. For my friend none of this matters and the iPad still works great. The color difference is barely noticeable and for my friend who is computer phobic but needs to have her own access to e mail for all the volunteer work she does and read digital books it is exactly what she needs. Her husband has a computer he continually messes up and has to take it to fix so she doesn't need to be dependent on him.
She works for me at my retail store so I will gradually drag her into e mail use.

It was discontinued over 4 years ago.
It is 50% heavier than the most recent 9.7" iPad.
Its color gamut isn't as good.
It has a 30-pin connector, not Lightning.
It can't run iOS 10.
It lacks TouchID.
Its graphics card has 4 cores.
It uses a 1GHz A5x chip, 32-bit architecture, 1 GB of memory, 32KB L1 caches, and 1MB L2 cache.
The current model (9.7" iPad Pro) has a 12-core graphics card.
It uses a 2+GHz A9x, 64-bit architecture, 2GB RAM, 64KB L1 and 3MB L2.
