Hit the squares in the right hand corner and then hit the X in the left hand corner.

When in Safari I often have several sites accessed and there is a row tabs across the top. All but the last have a circled 'x' that closes that window. But the last window has no 'x' - how can I close that last window. Clearing history, force closing Safari, shutdown & restart do not close that last accessed web site. Ideas, any.
