>>AT&T charges extra to use an iPhone as a hotspot. Verizon gives that to their customers at no extra charge. It seems that the iPhone is trying to do something that AT&T doesn't allow. It's confusing.<<Wish that were true. I am on Verizon. Just the other day I called their CSR to set up my iPhone 5S as a hot spot. I was told that with the plan I am on, I can not do that for free (even though I distinctly remember the salesperson at Verizon telling me I could). I would have to upgrade to a different plan, which would cost $30 more per month. Not worth it to me.JB
