That is "hype" because anyone buying a phone that expensive should be putting it in an "armored" case like all my Androids have been.

While I think that I should be I think that not everyone is as clumsy  as myself and in need for phone armor. For most simply a decent case should suffice.

Sometimes "decent" is more protective than "rigid" or "armored".
