A higher-res camera would be nice, but yes, big images mean storage devouring.
Apple's big selling point, I think, is high-quality chic, not a kitchensinkful of the latest cool hardware. Just works, not a thousand options, is well built and very nicely designed.
Hackers won't flock to a closed system. (hacker /= bad guy)
I'm happy with Apple. KISS.
With only 128gb storage I doubt 40mpx is warranted. Plus I see apple is going for improving software not hardware on regards to camera. Not saying they won't but noting how they are gong now. When I bought my photo lab the previous owner said 8mpx is the sweet spot and to get out before then. Well one needed to get out before that (read: I lost my butt on that purchase) but I still think his prediction holds some merit. I do think that mpx will creep up but that the file size without compression for 40mpx is silly. I would think that writing raw would be better and knowing apple I wouldn't put it past them to develop a better (read: proprietary) file format to create better fidelity in photos than simply using jpg compression. But I dunno. Time will tell.~KLM\\ "Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." ~Helen Keller //Next they will probably focus on camera resolution (and lense attachment ease) on 7 and future releases. The 40+ MegaPixel Lumina set new standards for picture detail that most people will love once they see it
