I've sold my old ones. This update to IPad Air I just reset my earlier model to Factory and restored the setting onto my new iPad Air. I don't think I have anything called a sim card in mine. I've never had one in any iPad. Maybe it's just a Verizon thing.

Don't you have to disable (cancel) your cellular service before restoring your iPad? You do with an AT&T iPad.

Okay … my new iPad Air is on order and I have sold my iPad 3 …. Buyer won't get said iPad 3 until new Air arrives!  But in the meantime, I need to know how to reset the old iPad before delivering.

 

So how do I reset the old iPad and does that also wipe info from the sim card?  I assume I will have to go to the Verizon store (phone customer service is dismal) because I can't just switch the cards since the Air uses the micro card.  Or, since I have my old iPad backed up to the Cloud, can I just restore it on the Air and have everything running fine?

 

Any assistance is appreciated!!
