Re: [iPad] Re: dead battery in iOS 7

Tim,

Now, I understand you. You're talking about the dock. The bottom row of apps on the home screen, not the other bottom tray. Access the other bottom try by double clicking the home button quickly. You will reveal another hidden bottom row which you can independently scroll sideways to see all the apps you've used recently. When those jiggle, they have a - sign, not an x. If you're getting x's, you're doing the wrong thing.
Double-click the home button to reveal the hidden tray.

Cheers,

yes, they all jiggle and include an X on the home page and only one is jiggling and includes an X on the bottom tray...but when i press the X to shut the app down, whether it's on the home page or on the bottom tray, i get a popup message asking whether i want to delete the app and all its contents or cancel the delete operation...how can mine be so different from others?

When you press and hold an app icon, ALL the apps start to jiggle and show an x in the corner.  Be sure to look at the apps in the bottom trey.  Those are the open apps.  Click the x to shut them down.  When you're done, press the Home button and the jiggling will stop.

Hope this helps,

Cathy
