If you have worked your way throughout the settings, you will have seen that iOS 7 has MANY settings that iOS 6 lacked, related to what activities are allowed in the background, while multitasking, while asleep. Also when apps can download data, and by what route.
If you set all these back to the only function that existed in iOS 6, you will likely find your battery lasts as long or longer than it did then. You will also lose some of the functionality of iOS 7.
