I just finished designing a product for a customer that you may be interested in. It is a tablet holder that is offered in two versions. One is a versatile floor stand which can be used in the living room (while you read in your chair), kitchen (keeps the tablet off the counter allowing access to online recipes), bedroom (holds your tablet while you watch movies). I have been told that musicians will love it and I think mechanics will find it very useful. There is also a desk top design that comes with your choice of a clamp or weighted base.
