I like the Oasis because of what's been already said. I also like the fact that the case charges the kindle. Also, holding the Oasis out of the case is easier to hold. The back of the kindle has a curved section. It makes it easier to hold the kindle in 1 hand. The Paperwhite & the Voyage are also great kindles. The only advice that I would give is : go to Amazon & read the descriptions as well as the reviews on each kindle. Hopefully, that will help you. You also have 1 month to return the kindle if you don't like it from Amazon. Some people buy the different kindles & return the ones that they don't like as well.

I am happy with my Paperwhite, and saw no reason to spend any more for a fancier model.

I read mostly at night; with the backlight turned off, and not going online regularly for anything, your battery should last months.
