I agree. I don't know what would make FaceTime any simpler. The iPad itself is very simple. Seems if Apple is really making an iPad just for seniors, it might get some to think Apple sees seniors as not as smart as they once were. In some cases that is true but I think most seniors are pretty smart and can learn to use the iPad without having it dumbed down.

Apple sure knows how to make a tablet. The iPad is consistently one of the best ranked tablets out there because of its high-end features and ease of use. Now, it's getting better for users of a certain age. That's because Apple has partnered with IBM to create an iPad just for seniors.
The new iPad will include larger text, health apps for seniors and a reminders tool for doctor's appointments. The tablet's app icons will be larger and easier to read and use.
The apps have been specially tailored for older people, including medication management programmes, exercise and diet regimes, and a simple version of the FaceTime video phone software, enabling people to speak to their families with ease.
