Problem is Apple are now mass market, and mass market means eternal churn and glitz. I imagine we're in serious danger of losing the high-quality just-works Apple. Organizational inertia - just keep going after more and more money, wherever that takes you.
But I'll stick with Apple, because they're unlikely to fall far from grace in my lifetime. I did, however, decide that my new desktop would have to be a custom-built PC, rather than the 27" 4K retina iMac I wanted, because the cost of a fully loaded iMac would have been a thousand dollars more. Sounds cheap, but it makes sense, in context.
Actually I find that Apple isn't going in many directions, or fast. Hardware gets a little lighter, thinner every year. Faster every year also, which is the norm in the computer industry. The OS's change gradually. The HW and SW look similar to what they were 4 years ago. Watch is not new, there are many many out thereI feel the noise generated by the Apple hype machine vastly out weighs the real time happenings. I'm ok with the happenings, but I'd prefer to see less "issues" threads on forums with Apple gear, and for me personally the ATV that runs iOS, is given access to the AppStore.

Hard to elaborate, Kris. I meant the new IBM, clumsy, out of touch, and organization heavy. A project that may sound good, if the media like it, but that is mostly imaginary and PR focused. Something like that. Being overly cynical, maybe. I don't care for some of the too many directions in which Apple is going these days. Bah, humbug 😎Care to elaborate on that a little? Apple sure knows how to make a tablet. The iPad is consistently one of the best ranked tablets out there because of its high-end features and ease of use. Now, it's getting better for users of a certain age. That's because Apple has partnered with IBM to create an iPad just for seniors..The new iPad will include larger text, health apps for seniors and a reminders tool for doctor's appointments. The tablet's app icons will be larger and easier to read and use.The apps have been specially tailored for older people, including medication management programmes, exercise and diet regimes, and a simple version of the FaceTime video phone software, enabling people to speak to their families with ease.Next page: When can you get the new iPad?~KLM\\ "Antisocial behavior is a trait of intelligence in a world full of conformists" ~Nikola Tesla //
