Re: [iPad] Nice case for iPhone 6+.

Thanks Carlee… I like cases, but a $5.00-$15.00 cases are better than all the expensive ones I would get before. :-)

Also, our Apple store is now stocking the impact shield from Tech 21. It is a firm antiglare overlay for your screen. When I dropped my iPhone 5s directly on asphalt with one on, my screen remained perfectly fine.

He sells a ton of products to countries where it matters a whole lot. I wonder how that information will impact the bottom line.

I think Tim spoke out to encourage non-mainstream people of all types to aim high and not get discouraged.  America needs to encourage all talented people regardless of what kind of package they comes in.  It doesn't hurt to get a periodic reminder.

You don't understand my point. I don't care if a person is straight or gay, just that they're good people. Gay, straight, whatever, I'll still shop in their businesses. A gays money is just as green as mine.

You are absolutely right.  It shouldn't matter.  Sadly, in some quarters it still does.  I believe that's why Tim felt the need to speak out.

Now you're trying to complicate it.  It's simple, a stronger signal doesn't give you more speed.

How so? If the signal is weak due to collisions your speed may be the same but the resent data means your 100mb file is 400mb. That's the issue of congestion, many conflicting radio datA. I agree the inherent speed is the same but the real world effect isn't

Conversely turning down the signal strength can help speed as it reduces coverage and the resulting interference

Thats ideal. My Huawei WS323 extender is pretty good, but its extended by wifi, so I lose connect rate due to distance, but it has a booster which works surisingly well

BUT, if we cabled from the router to the extender (ethernet or Powerline), you will get full speed at the extender, so your wireless from there will be as good as your base router. But the cost to cable is the cable cost plus the cost for a tradesperson who run cable in celing,.. down walls etc. Powerline is a good option as you use the power cables in the home, and plug into wall outlets

Funny thing.  To extend the router's range a bit, I tacked on an external antenna.  It was fine for a while; then, after a few days, the 2.5GHz band became unusable.  No idea why.   Untacked it, and all's well.

I think the point is not to use wifi at a point where the speed and coverage is poor. Use wifif, but have extenders cables so your wifi is always near and at the best it can be. As if you walk around your home and your wifi accesspoint is always nearby

I just got a new wifi router.  5GHz is faster, but older devices don't see it.  And, as the article points out, it has less range, so things still aren't quite perfect here :o)

But, I never plan to go back to cable, just as many people will never go back to landline phones.  Life means constantly making tradeoffs.
