Re: [iPad] Finally made the move to OSX!

Tks Kris

After waiting for it to arrive I've been busy, so planning on opening it up Monday night. It's been here a week!  I'll move iTunes over later just to avoid any issues, but looking forward to it.

Re: [iPad] Apple TV

sometimes I want to play something without the trouble of doing a sync, or I
may want to see if I *have* something w/o going back to the computer.

I think this is why I didn't go with Mint however I mostly use iBank on my Macbook. Like all software it took a while to get used to it.

Here are some links that might help you.

Re: [iPad] advice re; iphone OT

This happened to my middle daughter, a bucket of clean water. She took he phone out super quick and turned it off. Turned it on later (bad idea) and it didnt work

I brought it home, used an iPhone repair kit to remove the rear case, disconnected the battery and left it to dry out fully. It looked ok though. She works at a hospital so the water was just water. A few days later, I reconnected the battery and its fine, been fine for maybe 8 months now

The key is that the water contains no other chemicals that may be left behind and cause corrosion. And that the phone is removed very quickly, as the buttons, earphone jack and power jack aren't clear holes into the phone, it would take a little time to get the insides soaked.

Good luck, you might well be surprised

Anyone ever drop their iphone in water?  What did you do?  Better to have fixed (and where?) or just get new phone.  Are current apps salvageable?  Any advice welcome and may contact me off list so as not to clutter.  Thanks

Re: [iPad] Netflix Subscribers - the IT Crowd

I spoke Brit for a while myself -- one of several accents I picked up as a
child. I still slide a bit in that direction when I'm around a Brit-crowd
(or I've been watching too much Brit-TV). Just as my southern drawl comes
more forward or more pronounced under various circumstances.

I love them. With a name like Brooks, one of more of my ancestors spoke the
that accent.
