Re: [MacBook] Antivirus Software for MacBook

Some on this group have AV software to scan a suspect file on occasion
many do not.
I do not run any AV software on my mac, never have.
If you must use AV software do not use the run and scan all the time
kind, only, the run it when you want to check a specific file kind.
Never run any software from a web site that you don't completely trust.
Do not for any reason run something called "Mac Defender" it is a
Trojan horse malware program that claims to AV software.
Some like ClamAV but there others.
You can find many types of usually trustworthy software at www.macupdate.com
or www.versiontracker.com.

PS: never install Norton AV on a Mac
