Re: [iPad] Missing apps after syncing

In Windows I keep the various audio files in folders with names like Music, Drama, Audiobooks, OTR, etc. Within those I have something appropriate to it's type. Under Drama and Audiobooks I have a folder for each performance. The folder name begins with the author's name and is followed by the title. If theres something special about that, like audiodramas with 15 minute episodes which are a good size for brisk walks, I'll append that to the folder name. Then within the folder are the various episodes or files.

Music I have by artist - album name. That way all the artists sort together, which is what I want.

I don't need timings on the folders these things are in. Generally, with a few exceptions as noted above, I don't care about the timing.

Within the folder for an album or audiodrama or audiobook or OTR show if I have Windows Explorer set to show details it'll show me the timings and any other information I choose. This is all trivial to set up and change on the fly if I feel like it.

The beauty of this is that on a player that also uses folders, such as my Cowon S9, if I put an album or a drama on it I just drag the folder and it's there and it's there with the exact same directory system I use on the computer.

It's all very simple. It's the way our computers are organized. It works and I don't feel the need for a different system on my player.
