Re: [iPad] Any Australians here ???

3G can be used pretty much in any major capital city on any of the networks (Telstra, Optus & Vodafone)

Once you get out of the city, you can really only get Telstra 3G.

WiFi Hotspots are becoming more common, but still you can only really count on McDonalds & Libraries.

Buy a Telstra SIM, pop it in, and recharge it for 3G everywhere.

A couple of questions.

We're going to visit my daughter who lives in Perth this summer. I'm planning on carrying my Ipad 2. Are WiFi hotspots pretty common there ??? I assume I will not be able to use 3G.

I may be giving my Ipad to her as a gift when we leave. Any problems transferring ownership of a US bought Ipad ??? Warranty ? Any advice would be appreciated
