I've only used iTunes for Windows once, but didn't find it all that different from the Mac version. At risk of offending someone, I think the issue here is age. I'm 55 myself, and though I find iTunes easy to use, there are other apps that I struggle to use. At least until one of my sons shows me the "easy way" to use it.
My suggestion for those of you with iTunes problems, is to find a tech savvy kid to help you with it. (Or even a non-tech savvy kid) It'll save you hours of trying to figure it out. I honestly have never heard any kid complain about iTunes.
