Quit safari. Airplane mode on. Delete cache and cookies. Restart iPad. Airplane mode off. Start safari.

Sorry, my previous post was wrong. I deleted Firefox by pressing the stylus/my finger on the logo/icon then clicking on the 'x' in the top left corner of the logo/icon when it wiggled.
I still have 'Getting Started' appearing above the top left tab when I have Safari open, and when I click on it, it takes me to Mozilla website 'asking me' to download Firefox. It's very irritating.
