Re: [iPad] Multiple book apps?

Great minds …….

I did a google on "sony ereader for iPad" and that was one of the things that came up.

Thanks
David

This is being typed using Dragon Dictate.  Dragon Dictate allows you to talk and the computer to type your words as you speak. Any arrows, I will blame on the soft wear. ;-)

No, but there is Bluefire, which will let you read any of your Adobe Digital Editions books, epub or pdf.

Sony is supposed to be releasing a Sony Reader App in December.

Yes you can have all the book apps.

You may have a preference as to which one you want to use when a book is
available from multiple sources -- but you can only read a book in the app
it is downloaded (bought) for. (there may be ways to convert formats but I'm
not getting involved in that complication!)

I prefer Kindle & get what I can there. It's a personal decision.

All the e-book-reader companies have free books you can d/l to try out the
reader -- and there are other sites with free book downloads.
Also, Kindle, at least, has a PC version you can try out even before you get
your iPad. And yes, you can have all your Kindle books on each device.

E-Books you already have -- there is a way to get them to your iPad if
they're in a suitable format. Others here can tell you about how to do that.
