There are many reasons for varying the framing, focus, exposure, even the storage format of a photograph.

I do not want an "A.I." algorithm twiddling with these parameters for it's own reasons, which are unknown to me.

I see moments hsppening so fast sometimes *i* want a point and shoot.

The avid photographer's compromise is a modern compact ILC: it can fit in your pocket with a small zoom lens on it, or you can bring a whole family of interchangeable lenses. And it can make high-quality stills, and videos, and slow-motion videos.

I leaned on a regular camera developing my own film…

I've never felt any fond memories for developing my own film.
I did it because that was all there was that met my needs.

…and understand and appreciate your dedication to the dslr.

I *used to* have a dedication to the DSLR, but I haven't used mine in years now.

I'll try this app today at Playa Negra a black sand beach made black by magnetite or another black magnetic mineral.
