Good thought. Insightful. We can see how much of what is going where in the desktop iTunes with the phone plugged in to it. We can see more storage details in general then usage then manage storage. If downloaded archived emails can be local and take up tons of space in certain situations. Deleting and re-adding the email account may be a useful tool if that be the situation at hand.

A friend has 3.7 g taking up too much space on his iPhone 5 (16g). He deletes mail often, empty trash, have done a hard reset. Any ideas what could be the problem?
