Youd expect if they, for whatever good or not so good reason didnt manage the dates, they would lose access to the free trial, bugger. Sign up if you want it and pay, cool. if you dont wnat iot, let it lapse, but you cant let it lapse. What if auto opt in was so common, all of us had varying things that we have to watch dates on? Ridiculous. But of its reasonable to manually manage a number of items that have been autmoatically bought for you, thats cool. IMO its not designed to be tech, cool and eficient, its there to catcvh revenure that accidentally slips through the cracks

Then if those people want a free trial on a paid device they should pay careful attention to dates and take a crayon to their calendar and mark the date to cancel on it bcuz by signing up for the free trial of a service that isn't free they will be charged.
