[iPad] Email problem- Outgoing server needs a password

This may be too late to help but when I had this problem after simply changing email passwords, I learned that the outgoing mail server had its own space for a password and once I input the new one there I was able to send emails. It had affected all my Apple gadgets.

So, if you look at the 'page' where you would input your password in Settings then look just below to "Outgoing Mail Server", click on the account name next to SMTP, then next page again under Primary Server and you will see the password area on the next page. Sorry if it sounds like a rigmarole but it's easier to do than explain.

I assume that when an email account is initially set up on the ipad the correct password is carried through to all areas but obviously isn't when there's a later change.
