But that's Apple now - manufacturer of a few me-too consumer products that aspires to be a leader in services.

If they get rid of the audio plug in the new iPhone, I'll take that as a sign they're no longer committed to high quality.

Thus do companies evolve - from small and quick and creative and sparkling to big and bulky and dull and slow. Elephants cannot dance.  When they try, they trip and fall flat on their trunks.  Far better to buy expertise, suck it dry, toss it out.  Rinse, repeat.

Gorilla glass 5 and waterproofing and complete wireless are next. IMO. But those things will be increasing the lifespan of the products. Not shortening them. Emerging markets is where they stand to gain the most new customers and well hopefully heheh from other platforms.

In short, many longstanding Android features, are now on iOS.. So its much less of a drama to do stuff.
