Re: [iPad] OT: sloth with a baby!!

Yeah, sometimes you just can't win!  Remember the kid Lawrence of Arabia saved and what happened later?

I don't think I could do the long sleeves, either.  That's what they recommend, though.  ;-)

We put her on our property deep in the jungle. Just ten minutes ago she crossed the street. She apparently had places to go ;-)

I can't do long sleeves in 85°F / 85% humidity. Luckily it's only the mosquitos with white legs that can carry it. It was a mild fever not life threatening. The doctor told him it gets worse each time. It's the third or fourth time that you get a shot and it really hurts. It was his first. Only 3 days he was down and fever only one day.

Sometimes it seems that you have to scare animals in order to help them, and if the street was too dangerous, she might have risked her own life and that of her baby's by crossing it.  No way to explain that to a wild animal!

I don't blame you for feeling nervous about that fever your friend got.  I Googled it, and read that the best prevention is to protect yourself from mosquito bites--long sleeves, insecticide, mosquito net over your bed at night. . .  I bet people there could give you some ideas, too.

Glad you liked. It's such a joy to see them. I ran to the cabins and told everyone. Now. It scared the sloth I think. But I dunno. I made a choice. I do not think she was harmed. We saved her from crossing the street which is 60kph and dangerous for us and her. But we did scare her.

On a scary note my friend got dengue fever. :-( no cure. Just Tylenol. Yikes. But I hear that the first time isn't life threatening. But the 3rd or 4th is. He seemed okay. He sounded okay. But wow I was nervous for me. Am nervous.

On our property. She wanted to cross the road. We helped her back to the jungle but after a photo shoot. Yes. She is being defensive we were close. Maybe we scared her but she was in danger and ultimately we brought her to safety.

This is an awesome place. I hope one or all of you will consider it. To come here.  Just wow.

Soon I will post my Dropbox of videos from my rafting. You can hear the toucans. It's incredible. Hard to use my camera and row but I tried so maybe most of the videos are difficult to watch. Of course I couldn't video any class 4 but I think I gotta few class 3. Class 5 is very advanced. So fun.

Enjoy!!!
